"Our Classic Kettle is under three years old and has failed. It is likely that this simply the element. I cannot find a supplier with the part, and it seems it has to be returned to Dualit for repair. The warranty from Dualit is only for 12 months Aarke kettles (similar price) give a 5 year warranty. Dualit Classic Kettle

"The kettle is very well built and has a large capacity, boiling is rapid. When full the kettle is heavy but that is understandable due to its sizs. The one small poroblem I find is it is difficult to observe the water level through the level window, I tend to lift the lid and observe the water level through the top. "Bought two of these kettles, one for myself and one for my parents. Both have the exact same problem after around 18 months which is that the switch does not stay down. You have to stand holding the switch down for it to boil. Guarantee is only for 12months, Customer support not interested, A quick search and you will see this is a common problem with this brand. Copper does not match

"ORDER #50857 Bought the copper kettle and toaster on-line. The copper colour on the toaster is bright copper and the copper colour on the kettle is dull and just not a visual match. Also the plate underneath the crumb tray is bowed showing a gap. I will suffer these major imperfections but I am bitterly disappointed with the quality. I would point out my Architect kettle was much nicer and matched the toaster and lasted 7 years before it started to leak. I wish I had went with the Smeg! "My Classic Kettle is 5 years old and the on /off latch fails to stay in the on position. I'm unable to find a repairer or parts in Australia but I love the kettle so I bought a replacement. Very noisy kettle

"We bought this kettle as our old kettle was very noisy and as we have an open plan kitchen/diner/living room, we couldn't hear the TV when the kettle was on. When we first used the classic kettle it was quiet but after a few weeks it has become more noisy and now even the grandchildren are asking us to turn up the volume on the TV because they can't hear it when the kettle is boiling. We bought the kettle because one of its features is that it's a 'whispering' kettle so feel we've wasted our money, a lot of money. Very disappointed.
