Not as good as it looks

"I've had a Dualit hand mixer for a few years. I've used it very rarely, maybe once or twice a year. It just died when beating egg whites, after running poorly the last few times I used it. First it ran very slow, the button would go past speed 1, then it started to very fast on its own, with a burnt motor smell and the handle went vey hot. I had to unplug it to stop it. Too bad, I loved its design, although it's made in China and it's clearly not UK quality. It's also very heavy, so not practical at all if you're going to use it more than a few minutes. pleasing design

"It has plenty of oomph but the control button is not as positive as my last one. My last Dulit blender, lasted about 30 years and the motor still works but the handle has come apart. I have been so impressed with that one, I chose to stick with the same manufacturer. If the new one does as well it could well be a five star. Also this cannot come apart. Hand Mixer experience. . .

"To whom it concerns. . . I've had occasion to use my new mixer a few times now, and on the whole I'm quite pleased with it. And to put it another way, I haven't found anything that I dislike about it ! I should also mention that I also have 2 Dualit toasters, that I'm very happy with. . . The most beautiful creature

"I already have this in red and one in silver so I really didn't need a new one but who can resist such a beauty?. My friends love their œnew red and silver mixer and I now have this rare beauty instead. Love it This review was originally collected on www.dualit.***"

Broken

"Our one broke and we had to throw it away. We then find out a couple of friends have bought Dualit hand mixers and theirs also broke. Not this particular model but an older one. Great toasters that last forever but obviously have an issue with mixers This review was originally collected on www.dualit.***"
