Reviews

Lid is difficult to open

"Adore the design of this kettle and the boil is quieter than our old kettle of a different brand. The lid is SO difficult to open, the knob is far too small for the power needed to pull. My partner sliced his finger on the plastic knob as it is not a smooth sphere - it has an indent running through it. It would be easier if it was a ring. My mother is not going to be able to open the lid when she comes to stay, meaning we'll have to leave the lid open for when she wants to fill from the tap. I wonder why this hasn't been rectified yet? Three stars because it seems like this has been a common complaint for some time and not been addressed. Switch failed in two years - don't buy.

"Lovely kettle to start with and initially it was a 4 star purchase. I really liked the style and the size although a star off because you could fall asleep waiting for it to boil - never had a kettle that slow before. However, like another reviewer said, after 2 years the switch has failed. It's gone from having to hold it down for a few seconds (annoying but manageable) to having to hold it down for 20+ seconds and that doesn't always work. At this price point I don't expect a kettle to break in 2 years. I don't recommend it and it's put me off buying any further Dualit product. This review was originally collected on www.dualit.***"

Looks good but the lid isn't great

"Nice looking kettle and matching toaster. But we found the lid was too tight. We have been able to adjust it but it is a bit basic in how it works. Needs a better design. This review was originally collected on www.dualit.***"

Would be a perfect kettle if it wasn't for the lid

"Lovely kettle, matches our toaster. Rapid boil, quieter than our old kettle from The Range. Only problem with this kettle is the same that's been mentioned in other reviews and that is the lid! I have to hug the kettle in my left arm to pull lid off with my right hand! Honestly it's so tight, going to cause serious burns! This review was originally collected on www.dualit.***"

THE SAME FAULT AS THE LAST ONE

"Although I actually love the red & chrome kettle, I now have the same leakage from the bottom of the spout on this kettle, as I had from previous identical Dualit kettle. It was a year old in July, so out of guarantee. Exactly the same fault with the previous fault, just out of guarantee. This review was originally collected on www.dualit.***"

Mixed Reviews on Lite Jug Kettle

"The top is very tricky to pull off to refill water, even when the internal bits that they suggest you push in are pushed in. Dangerous if the kettle is hot. Very fiddly and would not repurchase this item. On the plus side, it does boil quickly and quietly. Love all the other Dualit products I have. This review was originally collected on www.dualit.***"

Dualit kettle

"Overall we are very pleased with the kettle. it boils quickly and is easy to clean. The only issue we have is the difficulty in lifting the lid. It seems a tight fit and requires considerable pressure to release it. It doesn't matter if the kettle has cooled down or has just boiled and need's refilling for next time.
